  • A writer proclaims the Truth he or she sees...
  • Readers act upon that Truth guided by the accumulated wisdom of Religious and Philosophical thought passed down through history;
  • Spiritual living begins with respect and honor for Free Will. 
  • Free Will gives the soul the ability to accept or reject The Truth. 
  • However, Free Will can never negate the Truth.
  • There are inescapable consequences for our choices.
  • Each of us chooses our final destiny--daily--in the here and now; Heaven or Hell are two different ways of relating to God.
  • My writing is about what moves us all toward one or the other inevitability.

   The Egg

   This statue which stands in the 
    courtyard of the Catholic Student 
    Center in Gainesville, FL  has been 
    an inspiration for my faith. It reminds
    me that some things have small 
    beginnings and  grow slowly.

    I see my writing in that same light.

 Derek Morell
  I met Derek at WPXP TV-67 (PAXtv) 
   in West Palm Beach, FL in 1998. 
   
   We worked together on my first draft of Dreams of St. Nicholas. 
   Our most recent collaboration was a Screenplay; 
   A Book About That.
